Range Rover versus GLS
There aren't too many full-size luxury SUVs in the market, and two of the [arguably] most popular ones are here today for a design and spec comparison.
With a recent renaming wave moving across Mercedes-Benz models, GL has gotten a new badge too, and now the redesigned second-generation model goes under GLS.
Range Rover comes in two wheelbase lengths, but surprisingly neither have an option of third row seats. Both SUVs offer three engine options - not counting GLS63 AMG model - including a 3-liter V6 turbo diesel.
Mercedes-Benz GLS is priced significantly lower than its British rival, with a diesel model starting from $67,050, which is $17,900 more than what you'd pay for a V6 supercharged petrol Range Rover.
