STARTECH Bentley Continental GT V8 Speed
Sporty STARTECH carbon design, 22-inch high-tech forged wheels, active sound management and an even more luxurious interior for the Bentley Continental GT V8 Speed.
Sporty carbon design, 22-inch high-tech forged wheels, active sound management and an even more luxurious interior: At the Geneva Motor Show 2016, STARTECH, a BRABUS Group company, presents an extensive refinement program for the Bentley Continental GT V8 S Coupe.
Standing still means losing ground. For this reason, the STARTECH designers complemented the aerodynamics concept for the current Bentley Continental models with newly developed components. They once more succeeded in creating an optimal blend of sporty-elegant design and aerodynamic efficiency. The STARTECH components are manufactured from lightweight yet high-strength carbon and impress with an outstanding precise fit and flawless surfaces. They are available with a choice of glossy or matte finish but can also be painted in vehicle or contrasting color.
The STARTECH front spoiler attaches to the production bumper. In concert with the two carbon panels that lend the side air intakes a more powerful profile, they give the Continental a sportier appearance from the front. What is more: The component reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds, which further optimizes handling stability.
The same intention is behind the development of the new STARTECH C-Blade air deflector elements, which are mounted to the left and right of the coupe’s rear window and improve directional stability at high speeds. Also new are the STARTECH rocker panels, which give the Bentley an even lower and more elongated appearance. In addition, they also calm the airflow along the sides of the vehicle. All chrome parts on the bodywork were painted in vehicle color to round off the sporty looks.

The STARTECH carbon diffuser lends the rear of the Continental GT a sporty upgrade. An important detail in this regard is the LED module integrated into the center of the diffuser. It serves as a rear fog lamp and a backup light at the same time. The look of this innovation is reminiscent of the tail lamp used in Formula 1 racing, which indicates when the racecar is in energy recovery mode or in the rain ensures warning the driver following behind in the rooster tail.
The new rear component also provides the perfect backdrop for the four billet aluminum tailpipes in hallmark STARTECH design that are flawlessly tailored to the styling of the rear bumper. These tailpipes can be combined with the production exhaust or the STARTECH sport exhaust, which is available in two versions for the V8 and the W12 engines. However, thrilling looks are not the only strength of the stainless-steel sport exhaust. The integrated system of butterfly valves is controlled from the cockpit and lets the driver choose between a subtle “coming home” mode and the “sport” position. In the latter case, the power of the eight- or twelve-cylinder engines also develops its full acoustic effect.
Powerful and above all durable STARTECH performance upgrades suitable for everyday use will in future be available for the two engines of the 2+2-seater.
Striking looks and even more agile handling are the hallmark traits of the STARTECH Monostar G wheels for all Bentley Continental models. The wheels feature five double spokes and are manufactured using high-tech forging technology. They offer an outstanding blend of lightweight construction and maximum quality. The wheels come in various color combinations and can also be painted any desired color. The one-piece wheels of size 10J x 22 front and back make full use of the available space in the wheel wells. Tires of size 295/30 ZR 22 for the front and rear axle were chosen as the perfect solution. For the show car at the Geneva Motor Show 2016, the STARTECH Monostar G were painted in vehicle color. Orange pinstripes on the outer flanges cite the highlights of the same color from the cockpit. The mighty brake calipers of the Bentley Continental GT V8 S sport the same bright color behind the five spokes of the STARTECH Monostar G wheels.
The STARTECH upholsterers created a two-tone gray and anthracite interior made from especially soft and breathable yet extremely durable leather to match the outer skin of the coupe. Diamond-shaped quilting on the inner sections of the door panels and seats add custom highlights, as does the headliner sporting the same pattern. In addition, the headliner was upgraded with an orange-colored centerline.
Orange piping and storage compartments lined in the same shade add additional colorful highlights in the cockpit, which are even topped in the trunk: The entire trunk is trimmed with leather in this bright color. The trunk lining is complemented by a leather-wrapped trunk mat that also sports diamond-shaped quilting.
This makes the Bentley Continental on display at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 a prime example of a luxurious STARTECH all-leather interior of the highest quality.
But it doesn’t end there: The STARTECH interior designers also created tailor-made carbon components for the cockpit, which are precisely color-coordinated with the leather in the interior.
Another innovative STARTECH idea involves the instrument cluster: Immediately noticeable is the speedometer with 400-km/h scale. Just as remarkable is the new design of the speedo and the rev counter, which puts the zero in the six-o-clock position. In addition, the color of the dials, numerals and needles can be tailored to the customer’s preferences.
Speaking of customization: The embroidered STARTECH logos on the head restraints and the floor mats as well as the logo projected onto the ground from the underside of the doors can be replaced with coats of arms or any other logos the customer prefers.
STARTECH backs all refinement components and conversions with a warranty for three years or 100,000 kilometers (see STARTECH Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated June 2013).
