Peugeot 308 SW
Just a few weeks after the sales launch of the new 308 hatchback commenced, PEUGEOT expands its range and presents a new body style. As with the 308, the new PEUGEOT 308 SW estate has been completely reconsidered and takes only its name from its predecessor. To be presented for the first time at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the PEUGEOT 308 SW sales will start in France, then the other European countries, during the spring.
PEUGEOT’s designers have created a great estate car that is dynamic, with a wide stance, classy and sporty (length: 4.58 m and height: 1.47m). Its generous dimensions allow the expectations of customers to be met, customers who attach great importance to the fundamental values in an estate car: volume, spaciousness, modularity and practicality.
With a volume of 610 dm3 to the VDA 210 standard, the boot on the new PEUGEOT 308 SW is clearly among the best in the segment. Its simple forms create a practical and very clear space. Its modularity is achieved with unparalleled simplicity (seats are folded with a single action from inside the boot) and effectiveness (perfectly flat floor). Its quality finish is worthy of the next category up.
As with the hatchback, the new PEUGEOT 308 SW benefits from the new Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2), a guarantee of lightness and dynamic efficiency. As a result, the new PEUGEOT 308 SW is 140kg lighter overall than its predecessor. The driving experience it provides places it strongly against other comparative estate cars.
Available from launch, the Euro 6 petrol and diesel engines ensure remarkable levels of performance. A BlueHDi version, producing only 85g CO2 per km, establishes a new benchmark in the segment.
Inside, the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit, modern, refined and innovative, brings a new ambience and sensations for the driver and passengers.
The quality brought to the new PEUGEOT 308 SW is shown in the care taken over every detail, with the objective of placing the car among the best and confirming the marque’s move up-market.
Built at Sochaux, the new PEUGEOT 308 SW will be fitted with power units produced at the Trémery and Douvrin plants in France.
The New PEUGEOT 308 SW has its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014, and will go on sale across Europe in the Spring.
