MANSORY Bentley Flying Spur

MANSORY have been waiting for the Bentley Flying Spur. Once again, on this most luxurious of models, the modifiers from the Bavarian town of Brand have been able to show just what they can do with dedication, experience and engineering artistry.

The three-tone exterior alone reflects the new self-image of the transformation. Instead of cautious reserve, MANSORY proudly display their body work components in chrome, brown and carbon-look. Naturally, the entire bodywork is made from the extremely strong, ultra-light material. MANSORY manufacture carbon fibre to the highest standards in their own autoclave. The converted Flying Spur can thank this know-how for its bonnet, its front apron with separately integrated LED’s and daytime running lights, side skirts, rear apron and rear spoiler.

The very existence of a rear spoiler lets the connoisseur know that on this Bentley, MANSORY have raised the performance level. The Flying Spur leaves the hands of the engineers in two configurations, and so is indeed worthy of its winged spurs.

The six litre version hits 900 PS (662kW), once the MANSORY technology department optimise the turbocharger and the engine characteristics, and install a complete exhaust system right to the tail pipe. In contrast, the production model might seem almost under-powered at 625 PS (460kW). The maximum torque of 800 Newton metres would also be impressive, but MANSORY have raised this to 1,100 Newton metres, electronically limited, to avoid damage to the drive train. On the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, MANSORY save a whole second versus the production model. After only 3.6 seconds, the new Flying Spur is at “Autobahn” road speed. From a standing start to a speed of 200, you only need 12.2 seconds. If you keep your foot on the gas, you will keep accelerating up to 340 km/h, compared to 320 km/h for the production model.

As a more balanced solution, MANSORY also has a slightly less extreme version in their portfolio. Having said that, even this raises the performance of the W13 engine by 120 PS to 745 PS (548 kW) with maximum torque of 950 Newton metres at 2000 RPM. Thanks to the optimisation of the engine characteristics, and an exhaust system which is clearly recognisable via the new tail pipe, the Flying Spur sprints from a standing start to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, and to 200 km/h in 14 seconds.

The 22 inch light alloy wheels guarantee safety, dynamism and elegance in all driving conditions. These are made exclusively by MANSORY in their forging process. This is considerably more complex than normal forging processes. However, it gives enormous strength at very low thickness, thanks to the reinforcement of the raw material. This means MANSORY save a good 40 % of unsprung mass, which is of immediate benefit to the driving dynamic. Ultra high performance size 295/30 tyres from Vredestein ensure good direct contact with the road.

As well as the confident appearance of the three-tone exterior and the lively dynamism of the increased performance, MANSORY also attain new standards of exclusivity and luxury with regard to the interior. The leather combinations in harmonious blue and beige tones represent the traditional class of the Bentley. In addition, individual elements in carbon-look accentuate this Koroush Mansory creation.

MANSORY Design & Holding GmbH exclusively offers their own specially developed modification accessories. It does not trade in complete vehicles and also does not offer these for sale.
