2024 HUMMER EV SUV: The Electric Off-Road Adventure Continues
GMC expands its electric supertruck lineup with the 2024 HUMMER EV SUV, unveiled during the NCAA’s Final Four in a commercial narrated by LeBron James. The new SUV builds on the HUMMER EV Pickup's legacy with enhanced off-road capabilities, innovative features, and an impressive balance between on-road performance and off-road prowess.
Capability and Design
The 2024 HUMMER EV SUV is designed for both power and maneuverability. With a 9-inch shorter wheelbase than the HUMMER EV Pickup, it boasts a turning circle of just 35.4 feet (10.8 meters) with 4 Wheel Steer. The interdependent body/battery structure allows for an open-air experience while maintaining rigidity and protecting the Ultium battery pack. The rear design features a power swing-out tailgate and a mounted full-size spare tire, while the interior accommodates five passengers and provides up to 81.8 cubic feet of cargo space when rear seats are folded flat.
Ultium Platform and Performance
Powered by General Motors' next-generation Ultium Platform, the HUMMER EV SUV can deliver up to 830 horsepower and up to 11,500 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds with the available Watts To Freedom feature. The 20-module, double-stacked Ultium battery offers more than 300 miles of range on a full charge, and supports 800-volt DC public fast charging of up to 300 kW.
Off-Road and Advanced Features
Signature features like CrabWalk, Extract Mode, and Adaptive Air Suspension enhance the off-road experience. The available Extreme Off-Road Package adds 18-inch wheels, 35-inch-OD Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, underbody armor, rock sliders, UltraVision with underbody cameras, and more. The redesigned myGMC app offers trail mapping, helping drivers plan and navigate off-road adventures while monitoring charging locations and energy consumption. The new available Power Station generator allows customers to use up to 3 kW of power from the vehicle, turning the HUMMER EV SUV into a power source on the trail or as a backup generator.
Immersive Experience and Customization
Drivers can enjoy a multisensory, immersive experience inside the 2024 HUMMER EV SUV with customizable settings through My Mode. The Infinity Roof and modular Sky Panels create an open experience, allowing passengers to enjoy the nearly silent movement during outdoor adventures. The Edition 1 of the SUV introduces an exclusive Moonshot Green Matte exterior color and the Lunar Shadow interior theme.
