The Red Line Series Concepts 2015: Chevrolet's Bold Step into Customization

Chevrolet has unveiled a new breed of concept vehicles, the Red Line Series, demonstrating the brand’s potential for personalization and lifestyle enhancements. With an aesthetic that walks the line between urban chic and rugged functionality, the Red Line Series has been designed to showcase a host of customization possibilities within Chevrolet's latest models.

Introducing the Red Line Series

Initially previewed were the Red Line versions of Trax, Malibu, Camaro, Colorado, and Silverado 1500 models, with a bonus viewing of the sporty Spark RS concept. The Red Line Series concepts are all set to make their public debut at the SEMA Show scheduled for November 3. In this endeavor, Chevrolet aims to measure the public reception to the unique Red Line Series, which integrates production and concept accessories under a uniform thematic design.

The Aesthetics

The Red Line Series vehicles are all graced with Enhanced Silver Metallic exteriors, customized Charcoal roof panels, and Satin Graphite and red accents. Each model also contains its own distinctive features, enhancing its personal appeal. The accessories that the Red Line Series introduces have all been developed in-house by Chevrolet, promising seamless compatibility and high-performance efficiency.

The Models and Their Highlights

Trax Red Line Series Concept

The Trax concept showcases Satin Graphite accents on mirror caps, grille surround, window moldings, and fog lamp bezels, combined with custom black and red Trax nameplates. Its customization is completed with a suspension lowering kit, 18-inch wheels featuring red accents, roof rack cross rails, and Thule® roof mounts. Other noteworthy features include tinted taillamp lenses and windows, and an all-weather cargo tray.

Malibu Red Line Series Concept

The Malibu concept sports Satin Graphite window molding accents and red fog lamp bezels. Alongside these are the Chevrolet Accessories concept black bowtie kit, rear spoiler, hash mark graphics, and a gloss black and red Malibu nameplate. Further enhancements include a Chevrolet Performance concept suspension lowering kit, 19-inch wheels with red accents, roof rack by Thule®, and a sport pedal kit.

Camaro Red Line Series Concept

With its Satin Graphite mirror caps and window moldings, along with the Camaro's nameplate in gloss black and red, the Camaro concept effortlessly stands out. Additional features include hash mark and decklid panel graphics, and a suspension lowering kit. Other enhancements comprise an air intake kit, brake package, black bowtie kit and fender badge kit, upper and lower grille inserts in red, darkened taillamps, and premium carpeted floor mats and sill plates.

Colorado Red Line Series Concept

The Colorado concept boasts an array of Satin Graphite elements on its mirror caps, window moldings, grille surround, door handles, and fog lamp bezels. It is also equipped with black and red Colorado nameplates, Goodyear® Wrangler Fortitude tires, and various Chevrolet Accessories and Performance components, including a Thule® bike rack and a tiered storage system.

Silverado 1500 Red Line Series Concept

Custom components on the Silverado 1500 concept include Satin Graphite mirror caps, window moldings, grille surround, door handles, and fog lamp bezels. In a powerful contrast, red tow hooks are a distinctive feature, accompanied by Z71 bedside graphics and Silverado nameplates in black with red accents. Other attributes include an air intake and exhaust kits, a Brembo front brake kit, 22-inch wheels with red accents, and a black-chrome exhaust tip.

The Future of Chevrolet Customization

The 2015 Chevrolet Red Line Series Concepts represent a step forward in the field of vehicle customization. Each concept embraces a unique amalgamation of style, functionality, and personalization options, broadening the horizons of what we can expect from Chevrolet's design studio.
