Audi SQ8 TDI
Audi's diesel-powered offensive in the S-line products extends to the Q8. The all-new Audi SQ8 TDI will hit the roads later this summer, equipped with the most powerful production diesel engine in all of Europe. The four-liter V8 TDI produces 435 hp and has 900 Newton meters of torque available in as low RPM as 1250. That's even more powerful than the new Touareg V8 TDI, and it's enough for Audi's new sporty four-door SUV coupe to hit the 62 mph mark in 4.8 seconds; top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.
As it is with other S TDI models, Audi SQ8 TDI is also equipped with 48-volt mild hybrid technology. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through an 8-speed tranny and Audi Drive Select system. Ride height is controlled by Air Suspension Sport air suspension system which is able to lift the ground clearance by up to 90 mm. This gives the sport SUV the ability to adapt to different terrain conditions. As an option the rear axle can be equipped with sport differential, and as an option the SUV can come with all-wheel steering.
Exterior of the SQ8 TDI is quite distinctive with S line characteristics. More aggressive grill and sporty bumper styling make it clear that it's an Audi S. In the interior, seats bear the S logo. Virtual cockpit comes as a standard with a red accent.
The Audi SQ8 TDI isn't just pumped up SUV, it is also a pretty smart one. With Car-To-X transfer capability the vehicle is able to communicate with the environment, making the commute safer. It's also equipped with WLAN and transferred data through LTE technology.
