2016 Audi A7 (US-Spec)
Refreshed for the 2016 model year, Audi A7 and S7 offer more power along with new options and innovations in technology. The 3.0 liter supercharged gasoline engine is a carryover from the previous-year model, but has gotten a 23 horsepower boost, allowing the engine to produce 333 hp at 5500 rpm; torque has remained the same, 325 lb-ft at 2900 rpm. Despite the power boost, fuel economy has improved compared to previous year model. EPA numbers for highway are 30 MPG for the '16 model compared to 2015's 28, and 20 versus previous model's 18 MPGs for the city, making the combined fuel economy of the 2016 3.0T gasoline-powered A7 improve from 21 MPG to 24 MPG.
New LED Lights and Technology
Evolutionary new front fascia includes slightly redesigned LED Headlights, Audi's signature singleframe grill, and updated front bumper. Taillights also have gotten contemporary touch with solid LED stripes. LED headlights and trapezoidal integrated tailpipes are offered as standard options for all 2016 A7 models.
The sportier sibling of A7, S7, now has an upgraded rear differential for its permanent all-wheel-drive quattro system, which provide more quicker and faster response. S7 has also seen a power boost of 30 horsepower, improving the total power output to 450 hp.
Software improvements include new integrated systems, such as Apple Siri, INRIX online traffic info, Web radio streaming, and Eyes Free integration. The newer generation of Audi MMI, powered by NVIDIA Tegra processor, now offers Wi-Fi service of passenger devices through AT&T's 4G LTE data connection.
Options and Pricing
For the 2016 model, customers now have a bigger variety of options to pick from. Four new inlays, two interior colors, and two design selections are now available. As of the exterior colors, the A7 has gotten a new option, Cedar brown, and Arras Red for sportier S7. Premium plus gasoline A7 starts at $68,300, and diesel A7 at $70,400. S7 is offered with Presige package only, starting at $82,900.
