Dominance Asserted: The 2011 Audi TTS Coupe and Roadster

With the arrival of the 2011 model year, Audi has once again proven its capability to beautifully blend top-notch sporting prowess with refined comfort in both the TTS Coupe and Roadster. A clear demonstration of this lies within their two-liter TFSI engine which boasts a large turbocharger along with numerous additional tweaks.

An Engine that Commands Respect

Audi's ingenuity shines through as they have managed to squeeze out an impressive 272 horsepower from the TTS' powerplant, while also generating a whopping 258.15 lb-ft of torque available between 2500-5000 rpm. When coupled with the optional S Tronic transmission system, this propels the TTS Coupe from naught to sixty-two miles per hour in just over five seconds. Despite these performance figures, it exhibits an admirable fuel economy - averaging around 30.55 US mpg.

Sporting Character Meets Refined Elegance

The standard equipment on the TTS includes Audi magnetic ride adaptive shock absorber technology, Sport button for that extra edge when you need it, and a high-performance brake system – all contributing significantly towards its distinct character on-road. Notably too are visual enhancements such as new grille design complemented by chrome air inlets and striking18-inch wheels wrapped up in sizeable 245/40 tires. Interiors get freshened up with an optional 'spectral silver/black' color combination adding a sophisticated touch.

Beyond Expectations - The TT RS Model Series

In line with delivering more than what meets the eye, Audi presents us with another facet of its brilliance – the TT RS series (available as both coupe and roadster). Housing under its hood is a turbocharged, inline 5-cylinder engine capable of churning out an imposing 340 horsepower from just 2.5 liters of displacement and providing torque figures peaking at 331.90 lb-ft between 1600-5300 rpm.

Now here’s where it gets interesting - the TT RS Coupe cuts down its sprint time from standstill to sixty-two miles per hour marque by almost half a second as compared to TTS Coupe! And that's not all, on special request, Audi will kindly lift up your top speed limit from approximately 155 mph to around 174 mph – enough for those seeking exhilarating thrills?

Beside performance, another distinct feature of this series is a sound flap in the exhaust system built specifically to augment the notable five-cylinder rumble. The usual coupling comes in form of manual six-speed transmission with sportily narrow gearing linking power seamlessly into quattro permanent all-wheel-drive setup; however, come fall and you’ll have the option of upgrading that configuration with a newly developed version of S Tronic which effortlessly handles the hefty torque output from potentive five-cylinder engines.

The Boldest Step Forward

In summing everything up about these new models from Audi, one can clearly note how they succeed brilliantly in infusing refined elegance into raw sporting prowess making every ride both enjoyable and thrilling. It's evident that these vehicles are engineered meticulously considering every minor aspect starting right off under their hoods through exteriors till interiors showing us why Audi’s reputation precedes them wherever they go. Clearly no stone has been left unturned when designing these formidable machines reconfirming once again why Audi truly belongs at helm amongst automotive giants.
