Audi A3 concept is “Classic of the Future 2011”
- Audi study picks up the Golden Classic Steering Wheel in the category “Small and Compact Cars”
- Readers of “Autobild Klassik” vote Audi into 1st place ahead of nine competitors
With its win in the reader poll “Classic of the Future 2011,” the Audi A3 concept study is moving into the fast lane even before the production start of a four-door A3 notchback sedan.
This was the second time that the trade journal presented the readers’ award “The Golden Classic Steering Wheel.” The majority of the over 27,000 participating readers of the magazine “Autobild Klassik” chose the Audi study as the compact car with the greatest potential for becoming a genuine classic in the future. Stefan Sielaff, Head of Design at AUDI AG, thanked the readers and editorial team of “Autobild Klassik” and accepted the award at a festive ceremony in Stuttgart.
The four-seater A3 concept notchback sedan not only provides a sneak preview of the future styling of the Audi A3. It also unites the brand’s entire technological expertise – from the further optimized MMI operating system and the high-end infotainment system to the drivetrain. A five-cylinder turbo engine delivering 300 kW (408 hp), the seven-speed S tronic and quattro permanent all-wheel drive ensure exhilarating dynamics combined with high efficiency.
